Ayrshire Itinerary

Bargany Garden

Personalised itinerary for Mr and Mrs Brown (our typical guest) staying at Cosses Country House for a 5 night stay:

Day 1. Arrival and welcome to the Iona Suite.
Afternoon tea with homemade lemon cake filled with our own strawberry jam, on the patio in the garden.
Drinks to meet the other guests in front of a log fire (don’t really need it but it adds a glow to the room!)
Gourmet dinner (all from home grown and local produce) created around Mr and Mrs Brown’s and other guest’s favourite food, enjoying a fine bottle of wine and a wee favourite malt with coffee.

Day 2. After a delicious breakfast, at a time of the Browns choosing they decided to walk a long part of the Ayrshire Coastal Path followed by a light lunch at Dowhill Farm shop.
They then went to Ayr and visited Beggs for a pre-arranged guided tour, and purchased some cashmere.
Afterwards they went to Whigams for a pre-arranged personal wine tasting and bought a bottle of the wine they had so enjoyed the evening before.
They also visited Robbie’s Drams, again for a personal whisky tasting for Mr Brown (Mrs Brown was driving) where they bought a bottle of malt.
On return to Cosses Country House they have another splendid evening, with dinner, discussing, with their newly made friends, the events of the day.

Day 3. They have an exclusive pass for Bargany gardens (see photo) before lunch at Woodland farm shop followed by an exclusive pass to Pebble Spa. Mr Brown enjoys a swim, sauna, Jacuzzi and the steam room, whilst Mrs Brown has a pre-arranged facial and massage.
That evening, as it is their wedding anniversary, we are chauffeuring them to Glenapp for dinner (and Graham will bring them home).

Day 4. Playing golf (pre-booked) at Portpatrick golf club, stopping to buy smoked salmon at Marrburry smokehouse.
Back for afternoon tea and a lazy afternoon in the garden with a good book, before another splendid dinner (meeting new guests).

Day 5. After another delicious (different) breakfast it is time to leave – still so much to see! They buy Susan’s book ‘A Country Cook’s Garden in South west Scotland’ to remind them of Southern Scotland splendour.
